Meet David
David S. Yarn, CFP® is the President and CEO of Southgate Financial Services and is an expert financial services professional. He is also an expert in Socially Responsible Impact Investing. David helps people understand complex financial issues and decisions using everyday language and examples. He has worked with individual and small business clients to develop and maintain comprehensive financial plans, insurance policies, and employee benefits plans. David specializes in preparing and managing employee benefits plans, including certain retirement plans. He develops, prepares, and manages the details of insurance and risk management plans for individuals and businesses. David loves spending time with family and looks forward to their annual family vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC – where immediate and extended family get together. One of the family’s favorite weeknight traditions is watching the original 1960s Batman TV series with his wife and two boys – who absolutely love the show’s antics. Originally from North Carolina, David moved to Maryland in 1997, after spending five years abroad in Spain. David has been providing financial services and insurance expertise at Southgate Financial since 2006. He is a Registered Representative of Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. and an Investment Advisory Representative of Cambridge Investment Research Advisors, Inc.

Meet Elena
Elena is passionate about helping people and the potential opportunity to improve the lives of others with financial services. As an Administrative Assistant with Southgate Financial, Elena provides a bridge between clients and the advisors. Always willing to dive in, and go the extra mile, Elena is available to schedule appointments, receive and relay messages, or directly connect clients with advisors. Elena brings so much to the table, including a positive can-do attitude, a friendly disposition, and a welcoming environment. Her hobbies include reading, and the wanderlust of travel, as she spent most of her childhood summers in the Spanish countryside visiting family. Her ultimate dream is to travel to New Zealand and visit the replica Shire from The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit books.
